This book is the unauthorized story of Chicago’s own martial arts master, Count Juan Raphael Dante. If you read comics in the 70s you would remember the ads for the Black Dragon Fighting Society. If you don’t remember the name, Google the ad and you will know the picture. This book is about the rise of the Count from his days in Vietnam to the beginning of his dojo on the Rush street in Chicago. It is told in a Citizen Kane style where you are learning from one of the people that went on his journey to become the deadliest man alive. It was a fun romp and I can’t wait to read the rest of his “history”. If you like fun, give it a look. If you hate fun, I can’t help you.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
