Known as the skilled co-pilot of the infamous Millennium Falcon, the legendary Wookiee warrior CHEWBACCA will star in his very own limited comic series! After the battle of Yavin, Chewbacca is on his own when he crash lands his ship on an Imperial occupied planet. Now stranded, Chewie finds himself caught in the middle of trying to return to the rebellion and helping a young and feisty girl in need. Writer Gerry Duggan (DEADPOOL, 1872, HULK) and artist Phil Noto (BLACK WIDOW, X-23, UNCANNY X-FORCE) bring us a never-before-seen tale of the heroic Wookiee we all know and love. Rated T

BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Yea! Chewbacca is good. You know Chewbacca, right? He's the pre-Groot Groot for all of you kids out there. The difference is he just makes noises. Han's sidekick goes front and center to help a young girl who's escaped from slavery. Writer Gerry Duggan and artist Phil Noto do a good job keeping the intention of Chewie's communication clear. There's plenty of acknowledgement from our young protagonist that she (and we) can't understand what he's saying. We don't have to when our favorite Wookie has a bowcaster high above his head ready to take on slavers. He is Groot, no doubt about it.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
