Put on your go-go boots and get ready to 'Batusi' back to the Swingin' 60s as DC Comics reimagines the classic Batman TV series in comics form for the first time! These all-new stories portray The Caped Crusader, The Boy Wonder and their fiendish rogues gallery just the way viewers remember them. In this first adventure, The Riddler's out to steal some valuable artwork from under the noses of Gotham's police. But Batman gets help from an unlikely source: a certain femme fatale dressed in feline finery!

BONUS REVIEW by John "Doc" Schaefer

"Nanananananananana, Batmaaaaan!" From the hauntingly familiar dialog to the stunning visuals of actors of a bygone age, this books hit all targets dead center, bulls-eye! Example: the undeniable look of facial overacting on page 8 that only Adam West's Batman could have achieved! Example: Frank Gorshin's classic biting tongue on page 2...oh I can hear that cackling laughter! Dracula popping out of a window (the original Batman!) Julie Newmar's pants tightening costume (err, I mean dramatic last minute escape!) Jeff Parker proves that he is the right man to write this bad boy. And Jonathan Case's off-kilter art is a perfect fit especial in the details! Example: Batman's cowl that stuck out under his cape. The proof that this is a great Batman book is that if we were to take away all the tv show references and let Jim Lee draw it, we would still have an excellent book. The story is solid. The tv aspect of it just adds to the fun! Hey DC, when can I expect to see Roddy McDowall as Bookworm and Victor Buono as King Tut! Can Jerry Lewis pop out of a window? (Heck, you published his comic adventures for years back in the 50's-60's.) What I really want is more of this because this is the stuff that proves comics are great.

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
