Hey Kids! Comics come from all sorts of places! I want to talk about that but first, the review of this book. The cover is nifty but the art made me feel like somebody poured Taco Bell Diablo sauce in my eyes and then kicked me in my bathing suit area. I just gave it a ten so you'd pay attention. Sorry. This is actually a review of Penguin Random House. They are Marvel's primary new distributor. For those who never bothered to know such things, they are the ones who get the books from the printer to us. PRH is a giant distributor of big boy books. I'm told they are very good at that. What they are not very good at, thus far, is moving comics around. They are clown shoes in this fairly delicate undertaking. You may think that this does not affect you. It's gonna. An abysmal amount of Marvel books are landing at every comic shop damaged, as PRH has decided to ship these books in the equivalent of a brown Kleenex box. Turns out facial tissue is actually more durable than Marvel's cover stock. This might matter to you in one of two ways. If you're not in the subscription club, and I have 5 damaged copies of Avengers Tech-On out of 6 ordered ( a statistical impossibility as I only order 3), and you like to buy it off the rack, you might not see it for a while because the one good copy went to a subscriber. Assuming you ever see it, because it's entirely possible that Marvel did not account for any of this when setting the print run. If they only ran an extra 1,000 copies, and 2,000 comic shops are calling in those damaged copies for replacements, you can see the unfortunate possibilities. You might not see those replacements for a few weeks, if at all. Conversely, if you're in the subscription club, and I'm shorted 10 copies of Savage Avengers, 5 of my club members won't get that book this week because they are behind in picking up the books I still have for them. You guys know who you are. Thus, I have no copies for the rack when I'm supposed to. This may be a temporary problem, but I suspect we've got at least a few months of Marvel disappointing us, much like they have been since 1991. In summation, it's an excellent time to join the free subscription club, and if you're already a member, pick up your books on time if you want to get an undamaged copy of whatever makes it through the Marvel distribution idiot gauntlet. It's just gonna be weird for a bit. Highly recommended for those who don't like change yet love being facetious, anyone for whom the numeral 9.anything means something, and those who want to be repeatedly kicked in their bathing suit area.

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
