Angel's work is never done. During his most recent world saving, a part of London was transformed and flooded with magic. Who better to watch over this magical community than Angel? At least, that's what he thinks. Meanwhile, Faith starts a new chapter in her life-slaying zompires alongside Buffy?!
Date Available: 4/2/2014
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

If you're someone who likes 'Buffy' or 'Angel', or the 'Whedonverse', then you probably already know that 'Angel and Faith S9' was the best of everything Dark Horse has produced so far. That fact makes it that much sadder to say that the start of season 10 is probably the worst. Victor Gischler joins the writing team, but leaves any of the quirks of Whedonesque dialogue at home. The characters move through a plot, but in the same way that Star Wars characters moved through Episode I and II. Those films at least has some great things to look at. This issue has Will Conrad. Conrad had done a great job on the first Firefly mini series, but here he just feels stilted and sterile, opting for static realism instead of comic book energy. Just compare Buffy finding out Giles is alive in 'Buffy S10' #1 to the same scene here...one is gut-wrenching in the best way possible, the other is like looking at someone's try out pages. Let's hope for better stuff as they find their footing.

I give it 5 out of 10 Grahams
