How many times have you been in the comic shop thinking to yourself, \u201cI would love to jump into this series, but its already on issue #33 (or #79, or #301)?\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t know what\u2019s going on at all!\u201d\u00a0 Well, there are new series\u2019 starting all the time, that don\u2019t require you to know years, or maybe decades of a character\u2019s history.\u00a0 Here are my top 5 new series that are only on their first couple of issues.<\/p>\n

Brzrkr (W) Matt Kindt, Keanu Reeves (A) Ron Garney<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Keanu Reeves is a half god, half man, all immortal badass who has spent centuries defeating all enemies in front of him.\u00a0 Now working for the American government, he is sent into the worst areas to fight the battles no one else can.\u00a0 But really this is just a comic of Keanu doing his John Wick thing: all out action and violence.\u00a0 Only on issue #2, and with more prints of #1 on the way, Brzrkr is a comic you wont want to miss.\u00a0 It\u2019s also already set for a film adaptation, and I wonder who will play the main character\u2026..<\/p>\n

X-Men Legends (W) Fabian Nicieza, Louise Simonson, Walt Simonson (A) Brett Booth, Walt Simonson<\/a><\/p>\n

Only on issue #1, you should rush right out to your local Graham Crackers and get this issue before it sells out.\u00a0 Damian learns of a deadly League of Lazarus tournament and thus sets out to win the tournament to prove that he is the greatest fighter in the DC Universe!\u00a0 What new friends and enemies will Damian have to face in mortal combat?\u00a0 Probably my top recommendation from this list.<\/p>\n

If you see that this is a James Stokoe book and you know who that is, then that is all I need to say!\u00a0 Stokoe is one of my absolute favorite artists, always packing every page with all the amazing art you can handle.
