Booster Gold #8 (2007)

Booster Gold #8 (2007)

$2.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Geoff Johns & Jeff Katz Art and cover by Dan Jurgens & Norm Rapmund REVIEW by Brian Fisher

Still going strong, and this month moved slightly up in my reading pile, Booster Gold is tons of fun. in this issue Booster, Blue Beetle and the survivors of the alternate future overrun by OMACs attack Max Lord's Checkmate stronghold, with some devastating consequences. This book is infused with some great tongue-in-cheek humor (the resistance fighters, along with Hawkman and Green Arrow, include Mad Dog, Anthro, and Pantha... yes, really) and a real sense of doom, because what BG and BB are doing really does effect everything in the DCU. This could be overall the most important book that DC publishes! Forget Countdown and check out Booster Gold.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
