Two words, punks—battle royale! All the losers in the tournament in the heart of heaven get a chance to redeem themselves and obtain the ultimate victory…danny rand included! But if danny couldn't win mano a mano, what hope does he have in a no-holds-barred kung-fu free-for-all of violence and carnage? And meanwhile, on earth, the sinister xao launches an attack almost a century in the making, and he won't stop until he's dancing on the ashes of k'un-lun itself. Oh! And the final secrets of danny rand's birth are finally revealed. And this ain't even the finale, sweethearts. By ed and matt and david and kano and kaare and so on and so forth.
REVIEW by BRIAN FISHER

It boggles the mind why this book does not outsell a lot of the crap Marvel puts out. This is in the top five books, in terms of quality that are published by Marvel. This issue is no different. Slam-bang action from cover to cover, insanely good art, even from the fill-ins, and a script that hits all bases in terms of adventure, drama and humor. There’s a madman with a bomb (are there any other kinds of madmen?) who trying to blow up Heaven (yes, THE Heaven) and the Iron Fist along with it. Apparently no one, not even his friends have a lot of confidence in Danny (leading to a hilarious running gag involving four words). This issue is a lot of lead-up that’ll most likely come to head in the next issue. But I haven’t read a more exciting lead-up issue in a long time.
I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
