Can matt murdock balance the scales of justice and save his wife? Can daredevil bring peace to the streets of hell's kitchen, which are caught in a super-powered gang war? And what is the terrible secret mr. Fear is hiding? By brubaker and lark.

"The really amazing thing about Daredevil is that, more than any other Marvel character, his personal life and sanity always seem like they’re one inciting incident away from completely crumbling. I mean, five years of Bendis’ run was devoted to the idea of a prolonged Matt Murdock nervous breakdown, right? So it’s no surprise that this tense and satisfying issue of DD is built around Matt’s continued desperation at trying to save his wife from the long-range manipulations of Mister Fear. There’s a constant feeling of hopelessness at play as Matt, as always, finds himself drawing closer and closer to the brink of madness and despair, consistently one step behind Fear’s plans. It’s a nice emotionally driven twist on the standard ‘loved one in a death trap’ superhero conceit. Fun to see Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark successfully exploit what makes Daredevil such a compelling character."
