Runaways #19 (2005)

Runaways #19 (2005)

$4.00
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Brian K. Vaughan, penciled by Mike Norton, cover by Jo Chen.
"Dead Means Dead," part 1 of 3. Special guest artist Mike Norton joins the Runaways for this perfect jumping-on point for new readers, as the Runaways say good-bye to the past, and make hard decisions about their future.
BONUS REVIEW by DAL BUSH
A new storyline, another chance to bask in the glory of Brian Vaughan and Adrian Alphona's comi... wait. Aw man, it's a fill-in artist? Who's NOT Takeshi Miyazawa? Lame. Well, it could be worse. *cough*Andrea Devito*cough* Chicago's own Mike Norton slings the lead for this arc, and it's not as bad as I'd expected. Mostly because, like Steve Rolston on Escapists, he tries real hard to not have you notice he's drawing it instead of the regular guy. And that's a smart move, in my opinion. As a result, this turns out to be a somewhat wonky-looking issue of Runaways, but not so much you'll want to skip the arc. Congrats, Mike! 6 Grahams
