BONUS REVIEW by RICK BERG
Hey remember way back in December 2004? Me neither, but that is when issue 2 came out and our eternal champion Elric narrowly defeated his last challenge. Sonic Boom! It’s 2006 and issue 3 is finally here. And it’s totally worth the wait. Walter Simonson’s astounding artwork again reminds me of why so many of today’s comics seem lacking. Detailed artwork with multiple panels, varying camera angles, actual proportions, consistent anatomy, unique page layouts, and backgrounds to boot fill this book. Simply breathtaking. So remember to breathe as you read it. Ok. Young Elric continues his journey through the dream-quests to prove himself worthy of becoming prince of Meliboné. With each trip he becomes closer to the hero he is destined to be. Can Elric defeat combined might of the Green men of Karasim and the Winged men of Myrrhn in the dream realm? Will Chaos reign supreme 8000 years before Elric was even born? Can issue 4 come out before All Star Batman #5? Delightful sword and sorcery as only the masters can tell it.
I give it 11 out of 10 grahams!
