Spider-Woman Origin #5

Spider-Woman Origin #5

$4.00
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Brian Reed and Brian Michael Bendis, pencils and cover by The Luna Brothers.
The shocking conclusion to one of the most mysterious origins in the Marvel history books. Spider-Woman faces all the ghosts of her past and takes on Hydra with everything she has. This series ties directly into events in New Avengers and the upcoming Spider-Woman ongoing series by the former Daredevil team of Bendis and Alex Maleev.
BONUS REVIEW by DAL BUSH
Seriously: no one really cares about Jessica Drew besides Brian Bendis. I'm sorry to make such a sweeping generalization, but I've yet to have ONE PERSON come in to say how excited they are for this series. And you know what? I can see why now. 5 issues from Mr. Jessica Drew and co-writer Brian Reed (with blah art from the Luna Brothers) and I still can't seem to muster any enthusiasm for the continuing adventures of Spider-Woman, despite her ongoing being done by the superlative Daredevil team of Bendis and Maleev. Not a failure of execution so much as a story just not worth telling. 4 Grahams
