Mike Mignola (W/Cover), Joshua Dysart (W), Fábio Moon (A), Gabriel Bá (A), and Dave Stewart (C)
In 1946, the Nazi Occult Bureau's Project Vampir Sturm threatened to destroy the fragile peace following the end of the Second World War. A year later, the B.P.R.D. learns that there are creatures far older-and far more dangerous-than the Nazis' creations, as a lone vampire nobleman ruthlessly hunts the survivors of the Third Reich. Joshua Dysart (B.P.R.D.: 1946) and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola team up with Gabriel Bá (The Umbrella Academy) and Fábio Moon (Sugarshock) for a new chapter in the hidden history of the B.P.R.D.!
Date Available: 07/08/2009
BONUS REVIEW by Stephen A. Banas II

Let’s take inventory for a quick moment here: War, seduction, murder, vampires, noir, the paranormal, Mike Mignola, Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon. Does that sounds like something you would be incredibly interested in? I know me too! I love BPRD and the Hellboy universe so this wasn’t a reach for me but it is incredibly difficult not to appreciate the quality of this book, fan or no fan. This is just another great output from Mignola on the writing side and if you are not blown away by Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon’s artwork then I’m not sure how else to help because something may be wrong. I absolutely 10000% recommend this to anyone and everyone. It’s the first issue of this mini-series so just give it a chance, what’s stopping you?
I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
