Oddly, I’m amazed that a comic based off a video game could reach two hundred issues, but here it is. Sonic faces his arch nemesis, Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robothink, on a one-on-one fight that has many twists and turns. Whenever I see an issue two zero zero, I think of The Fantastic Four #200, probably the best issue of that mark I’ve ever read. This one does compare…perhaps a little too much. So, for me, the story wasn’t the hottest aspect of this comic, but rather the combination of the art (Tracy Yardley!), the inks (Terry Austin), and the colors (Matt Herms). Vivid, all of the way around. My videogame deprived son loves Sonic, and wants me to buy more…and with the cost of comics going up, the price on this issue, at $2.50, has my attention. Keep going, Sonic!
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
