Jonah Hex #43 vol 2

$4.00
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Justin Gray & Jimmy Palmiotti Art and cover by Paul Gulacy
Some small-town officials hire Hex to resolve a hostage situation at a local hotel, but his solution is far more brutal than everybody was expecting. Will anyone make it out of "The Hyde House Massacre" alive?
Date Available: 05/06/2009
BONUS REVIEW by JOHN ROBINSON

2 books from Jimmy Palmiotti in one week - and both are excellent! This issue feature guest artist Paul Gulacy, and Gray & Palmiotti seemed to write the story to all of Gulacy's strengths. Another great stand alone issue, the first aprox. 1/3 of the book is dialogue and caption free letting Gulacy tell the story on his own. Like most of the current Jonah Hex run it's a nicely tied up one-shot, and unlike the forthcoming movie that I'm both excited about and gravely concerned over, this Hex story does not involve the Supernatural, and I prefer the character that way. You know you want to be more familiar with Jonah Hex before the film hits, so you can tell all of your non-comic buddies how HEX has always been one of your favorites, so dive in with this issue - you'll be pleased.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
