Spider-Man the Short Halloween

Spider-Man the Short Halloween

$6.00
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by BILL HADER & SETH MEYERS Pencils & Cover by KEVIN MAGUIRE
Two stars of Saturday Night Live make their Marvel debut with an all-new story set right on the bustling, hot dog juice covered streets of New York City. Halloween is coming early this year as Spidey is knocked out during the Greenwich Village costume parade and an intoxicated reveler in a Spidey costume takes his place. Really, we don’t want to say more than that. Trust us, with comic book legend Kevin Maguire (JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL) along for the ride, this’ll be more exciting than putting a president on a comic book cover! 48 PGS.
Date Available: 05/28/2009
BONUS REVIEW by Stephen Banas

Not bad for a couple of SNL writers. This one-shot from comedians Bill Hader and Seth Meyers delivers everything it promised; a goofy Halloween tale of mistaken Spidentity (I can be funny too!), third rate villains who are in over their head and a feel-good ending that will leave you ultimately satisfied. The art was nothing special but it was clean, straightforward and gets the job done. Pick this one up for a nice laugh unless you don’t enjoy Spider-Man, Halloween or Three’s Company shtick.
I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
