The “Brainiac" finale! It's Superman versus Brainiac with everything at stake! No longer content to simply eradicate Superman, Brainiac is now determined to destroy Earth like so many other planets he's left in his wake. But Brainiac's ship is full of many bottles, inside of which some surprise guest-stars lurk! And while hope may blossom on Brainiac's ship, there's one life even the Man of Steel can't save.

REVIEW by Brian Fisher

If the ending hasn’t been spoiled to you by the New York Daily News or everybody talking about the article in the New York Daily News that spoils the ending, I won’t do it here. I think it robs you of a great reading experience by spoiling it for you. This is one of the better conclusions to a story, let alone one of the better stories I’ve read in quite a while. Geoff Johns just GETS Superman, and this story proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Everybody, from Lois to Supergirl to Pa Kent to old Supes himself steps up to the plate and saves the day. Sure the “War of the Worlds” defeat of Braniac was a little contrived, but it still fit the story really well. And the ending… oh my God, the ending… I’m at a loss for words. I wouldn’t go so far as to call you dumb for not reading this book, but it really is the only word that comes to mind at the moment.
I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
