But the Legion of Super-Heroes have always been there to stop him. This time, though, even the Legion won’t be enough. The Time Trapper has found the ultimate weapon to carry out his plan – a twisted mirror image of the boy of steel from a parallel Earth long dead: Superboy-Prime! Who will answer the Legion’s call for help? Find out here as the Crisis of the 31st century begins!

REVIEW by Brian Fisher

The first issue of Legion of Three Worlds opens as a sort of primer to the LOSH. It establishes that it’s a turbulent time for them, as the United Planets are seeking to disband the Legion and disavow Earth entirely. Add to that a shadowy figure with a sinister plan, a pissed-off Superman-Prime and a freed planet of super-baddies and the Legion might just need a little back-up. As with everything Geoff Johns writes, the story respects the knowledge of the Legion faithful while not alienating the newbies. And, as for George Perez his status as an industry veteran is well deserved.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
