Wonder Woman #38 volume 4,
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
BONUS REVIEW by Doc Schaefer
(W) Meredith Finch (A/CA) David Finch, Richard Friend
With her people against her, Wonder Woman has left Paradise Island more uncertain of her intentions than ever before! And with only the mantle of God of War to turn to, she's challenged to give that up!

Meredith and David Finch spin an interesting tale that for some reason I just can't get into. Maybe, it the way Diana bounces back and forth between the Amazons and Man's World (Am I still allowed to call it that in today's politically correct society?). Or maybe it is the somewhat annoying arrogance on the part of Diana that she is handling this situation perfectly fine. And while both these things are key to the points being made in the plot, they leave a bad flavor in my mouth. Even a last minute formal introduction of the New 52 version of Donna Troy can't pull this puppy out of it's slump. But it is almost impossible to resist the incredible variant cover by Terry and Rachel Dodson based on the classic Andru and Esposito cover from Wonder Woman 1st series #155
I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
