A proud legacy continues! Eric Masterson was the first to wield the enchanted mace called Thunderstrike and he sacrificed himself to save the world. But what happened to the mace? Has it been lost for all eternity or does the world still need heroes? Has the time finally come for someone else to follow Eric's journey and take on the mantle of Thunderstrike? Join us as the Marvel Universe welcomes back the everyman Avenger, THUNDERSTRIKE! Guest-starring Steve Rogers, Sharon Carter and the rampaging Rhino!

BONUS REVIEW by JOHN ROBINSON

At this point most of you either like the comics that the creative team of DeFalco & Frenz create, or you don't, you know before you pick this up what type of comic you'll be getting if you've read anything by this duo before. Luckily I'm in the later group, having enjoyed the original Thunderstrike by the same creative team, as well as Spider-Girl. Thunderstrike does indeed return (even though he's been dead), but as you might have expected there is a twist. Defalco and Frenz produce what I'd call old school comics. They feel and read very much like a Marvel comic circa 1960's and 70's. Stories progress at a fairly quick pace with hints of mystery and sub-plots strewn throughout each issue to keep you interested. Too bad it's only a 5 issue mini-series. Our industry can use more of these accessible comics.
