On the anniversary of the Man of Steel’s death at the hands of Doomsday, Daily Planet reporter Ty Duffy begins interviewing the witnesses of his ultimate sacrifice. Their harrowing, emotional stories put Superman’s death in a new light, deeply affecting the hero.
Then, suddenly, someone begins retracing Doomsday’s original march of destruction across the country – causing fresh devastation along the way – and Superman must discover the reasons behind the rampage while saving the innocent lives caught in harm’s way. Writer and artist Dan Jurgens (Superman: Eradication, The Mighty Thor), leader of the creative team behind Superman's death in 1992, returns now to examine the fallout of that major event in Superman: Day of Doom. Joining him is accomplished illustrator Bill Sienkiewicz Batman, The Shadow, Elektra: Assassin), who helps to give a fresh look to the Man of Steel.
