BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Short version- You want to know if its still good- it is.

Longer version- This issue falls into more of the licensed comic traps than it should. You'll see things with 3PO and Vader that aren't just call backs to, but repetitions of things you've seen in Empire (which is pretty lame, because that's 'the future' here. John Cassaday's art takes a step back in both likeness and equipment accuracy.

If the book has so many missteps, why the high rating? The less than good elements make up about 30% of the book. That means the 70% of Luke dealing with the consequences of rushing into battle, the banter between Han and Leia, the heroics of R2, and the spec-TAC-ular bad a**edness of Darth Vader overshadow any of the short comings. You might find yourself amped up by every page of the second half of the book.

At the rate he's using them, Jason Aaron will have run out of things to repeat from the movies by issue #5. I'm looking forward to that. For now, what's here is still terrific.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
