VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Justin Jordan
(A/CA) Kyle Strahm
Spreadworms, Sirens, Raiders, Cannibals, The Preacher. Everything collides. Almost everybody dies. The first arc ends here.
Date Available: 03/18/2015
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

The longer 'The Spread' has gone on, the crazier its gotten. That's a good thing. I realized that there are maybe 8 people left on the planet (as presented in the book) that are not incapacitated by some form of mental illness. That makes for a fun book where everything that can happen will. 'No' (our sort of protagonist) continues his plan to save 'Hope' and 'Molly' by running away from the crowds of people who are literally trying to kill them while joining forces with a man who was going to EAT HIM. Writer Justin Jordan has a fun sense of evil AND and evil sense of fun. They don't always turn up in the same spots, and are often at odds with each other. Kyle Strahm gets right what many monster artists get wrong, and shows that what you're seeing has some structure and reason behind it, not just tentacly goop. If you're a fan of 'Lone Wolf and Cub', 'The Thing', or even 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', you'll probably LOVE this book.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
