Southern Bastards #1

Southern Bastards #1

$10.00
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Jason Aaron
(A/CA) Jason Latour
Welcome to Craw County, Alabama, home of Boss BBQ, the state champion Runnin' Rebs football team...and more bastards than you've ever seen. When you're an angry old man like Earl Tubb, the only way to survive a place like this...is to carry a really big stick. From the acclaimed team of JASON AARON and JASON LATOUR, the same bastards who brought you Scalped and Wolverine: Japan's Most Wanted, comes a southern fried crime series that's like the Dukes of Hazzard meets the Coen Brothers...on meth.
Date Available: 4/30/2014
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Jason Aaron and Jason Latour let us know that justice comes at the end of a baseball bat in the crime gothic 'Southern Bastards'. You may think you've met Earl Tubb before. In many ways you have- Bruce in 'Dark Knight Returns', Michael Caine in 'Harry Brown' or Wyatt Earp in 'Tombstone. This is another tale of a tough as nails man with a clean conscience but a weary mind coming face to face with the reality that he's going to have to become a participant again in a dirty world he thought he left behind. The art by Jason Latour fits well with this world. If you like this sort of thing, and I do, it's pretty terrific.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
