Written by Frank Cho
Art & Cover by Frank Cho
Wolverine awakes to find himself transported to the Savage Land and labeled public enemy number one! With no memory of how he got there, and Shanna the She-Devil his only ally, Logan must unravel the mystery that slumbers at the heart of the Savage Land before it finds a way to kill him first. This January, Wolverine is all brawls, babes, and brachiosaurs, and you'll never see the end -- or the future of the Marvel Universe -- NOW!

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle (Cho reference!) the Marvel Now! line finally has something worthwhile to offer us. Now Wolverine is by no means my favorite character. I lived through the 80's and 90's and I quickly grew tired of him. So this is a big deal. Someone at Marvel Now! must have had either some common sense and forethought (doubt it!) or a horseshoe up his/her behind. Because this is not a Wolverine book. This is a Savage Land book and Wolverine is just one of the characters in it. And when it comes to the Savage Land (Shanna, dinosaurs, cro-magnon warriors) who better to drawn it then Frank Cho! The man's art is a feast for the eyes when it comes to these things. Wait ... he wrote it too? Great! This gives us long time dedicated fans of Frank Cho an easter egg or two. (Hint: Check out the agents' names!) So let review, an interesting mystery located in the Savage Land, Shanna the She-Devil (yum!), SHIELD, Frank Cho art work, blood, guts, death, and of course SNIKT! It's a win/win for all!
I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
