Kinda looks like Max Bemis remembered that Moon Knight started in what was, for the time, considered a horror title. Let's face it, Moon Knight runs have been a whole bunch of things, but not this...disturbing, and Moon Knight is barely in this issue.
Jacen Burrows turns in his best artwork since, well, Providence.
This was easily as interesting as the debut issue of the Jeff Lemire run, with 100% less loopy sci-fi film stuff. No lasers here, just an impending feeling of unease. Speaking as a longtime fan of the character, it looks very promising, or at the least a worthwhile follow up to the previous series. Highly recommended for those accustomed to thinking that this could be the one, and people who buy annual passes to planetariums and natural history museums.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
