The world’s third-smartest man – and one of its most eligible bachelors – uses his brains and fists against science gone mad in this new series. Michael Holt is the head of a successful high-tech corporation and an institute that recruits and encourages the finest minds of the next generation to excel. As Mister Terrific he inhabits a world of amazement few others know exists, let alone can comprehend.
All 8 issues of the New 52 Series for one low price!
BONUS REVIEW by JOHN SCHAEFER

When I first saw that Terry Sloane's namesake was getting his own book, I was intreged. The only Justice Society character to survive the New 52 (although a Karen Starr walk on seems to show that Power Girl survived too) it seemed like an interesting concept. After all, he is the world's third smartest man. (Have we ever determined who the first two are?)Unfortunately, the book falls short (even with the Doctor Who reference). The character's strong points are still there, wife and unborn child die in his arms, an unblinking resolution to educate the world, and of course the gadgets. But Michael Holt has been turned into a johnny come lately contender to Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor. His resolutions are now verging on mania with the sudden appearance of his time travelling son. And the gadgets have become so complex that even a old time geek like me had to reread a few of the descriptive passages to keep up. At one point, Mr. Terrific was the backbone of the JSA. A true hero, as many times he would remain behind to coordinate the battles the other JSA members were handling. With very little shown in the day to day life of Michael Holt in the JSA, I grew to like him as the strong, quiet behind the scenes hero. Now that I've been show what he was doing in his free time, the character has lost some appeal. Hopefully, he can be brought around the bend.
