 Unfortunately, I was older when the original MASK cartoon came out but I remember my younger brother loving it and having some of the toy line. I may have even read a few issues of the original MASK comic from DC. So when I spotted this, I thought for sure that this would be another updated version of a popular old cartoon which would be bad or worse, something that I couldn't even identify with anymore. Luckily, this is not the case. Although a more modern version of the story, the characters, concepts, and general feel to the book is pretty spot on. I give full credit to writer Brandon Easton and artist Tony Vargas for doing their homework and getting a feel for the original show which show in the book. I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
