BONUS REVIEW by John "Doc" Schaefer

Arrrrggggg! How can a book have so much potential and still fall short in every category? A huge roster of characters scattered throughout time after a battle seems like it has blockbuster written all over it. Right? Unfortunately, in the New 52 Universe, all of the cast is fairly unlikable at best. Even the Nightmare Nurse, who by far has the potential for greatness can't seem to get a foothold here. And with all of time to choose from, writer Dematteis leaves our second grouping of characters at the end of the known universe with monster bug and Felix Faust and son! I miss the nice quiet end of the universe Death presented to us in the Books of Magic mini-series. There is very little to work with here and I can prove it. Take panel 1 of page one, add one panel where the Nightmare Nurse has an idea and the flip to the second to last page of the story and Bob's Your Uncle. The 17 pages in-between simply act as the page behind the ads for DC's hundred of tv shows!

I give it 4 out of 10 Grahams
