Justice League Dark #35

Justice League Dark #35

$3.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) J. M. DeMatteis
(A) Andres Guinaldo, Mark Irwin
(CA) Neil Edwards, Norm Rapmund
Time is broken - and so is the Justice League Dark! The team may have welcomed Andrew Bennett, Frankenstein, and its others back into the fold, but the reunion will be short-lived when the JLD finds itself scattered across the timestream! They're lost in a blasted, apocalyptic wasteland at the end of time… an incomprehensible dimension beyond all existence…and at the dawn of a dark civilization lost to recorded history - the place where magic was first harnessed! They can barely work together under the best of circumstances…how will they ever find their way home from this?
Date Available: 10/22/2014
BONUS REVIEW by John "Doc" Schaefer

For once I was hoping that there wasn't going to be some sort of twist ending. The tale of Zatanna lost was truly touching and part of me hoped that her father had gotten lost in between dimensions much like he had done back when she was first introduced 1964. The battle scenes on the flying carpets were amazing and after his appearance in Constantine, the idea of Zatara returning to the DC Universe seemed positive. Shame it all turned out to be a pipe dream. The only thing that makes me wonder is why this issue wasn't held up a week or two so that part one of the storyline would come out first? According to the blurb on page 1, I have to wait until next week to get part one in the JLD Annual. Huh?!

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
