As a member of Darkseid's inner circle, Desaad is the Apokoliptian god of fear and pain. And since being stranded on Earth because of the events of EARTH 2 #1, Desaad has looked for a way home. He has the means, in the form of Boom Tube technology, but could not power it…until now!

BONUS REVIEW by John "Doc" Schaefer

Just when you thought Earth 2 could not suck any more than it already does, DC drops it another level. This is a worthless look at Darkseid's toady Desaad. The story does not give us any great insight into the charcter nor does it progress the storyline any further. And aside from the fact that Desaad is a demented maniac, I honestly think the creepy little twisted version of him from back in the Jack Kirby days was much more eerie. This whole look at my pointed teeth while I suck the fear out of your forehead, Booga, booga version is just something inspired by a Clive Barker movie. And don't miss the fabulous 3D cover which gives children seizures and makes adults get motion sickness.

I give it 3 out of 10 Grahams
