BONUS REVIEW by Gavin Rehfeldt
There is so much promise in the idea of a Spider-verse, and we're getting the start of what one would hope will be a brilliant payoff. Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, and Spider-Ham all get good representation here along with many other Spiders. It's all good fun, but not the extraordinary payoff of potential seen in similar properties, namely Grant Morrison's crazy-haunting Multiversity, which can only beg comparison. The conflict is solid, the writing is clever, and the action works. The book is enjoyable, and gives many delightful twists, but needs to take it to the next level. Still, Peter Porker aka Spider-Ham is a welcome presence against a bizarre and menacing foe harboring a peculiarly specific appetite. I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
